Committed to Drive Change

Our commitment to delivering Sustainability & Responsibility is built on four key foundations — Nurturing Terroir, Valuing People, Circular Making and Responsible Hosting. Here’s how we’re working every day to achieve these priorities.

We recognise that inappropriate consumption can cause serious problems to individuals and our communities. That's why we're committed to work with industry colleagues, governments and local authorities to prevent and reduce harmful use.

Pernod Ricard Winemakers is enabling real change through education and community partnerships. We're also committed to setting new standards in socially responsible marketing to protect minors and to give consumers high quality information about our products and how to enjoy them responsibly.

In a world of finite resources, we’re committed to finding better methods to minimise waste. Our focus on circular making means we’re finding more ways to reuse, reduce and recycle to reduce our environmental impact.

We're making significant progress in ensuring all our packaging is recyclable, compostable, reusable or bio-based. Soon, none of our promotional materials will be made from single-use plastic, and by 2030, we aim to be water balanced in all high-risk watersheds by replenishing all the water we use at our production sites.

People are at the heart of everything we do at Pernod Ricard Winemakers; it's the foundation of our philosophy as Creators of Conviviality. Our people are key to our creativity and expertise, they drive our engagement levels, and they’re responsible for our consumer and trade relationships. They’re also vital to bringing conviviality to life.

Our investment in people, diversity and leadership development means engagement levels within Pernod Ricard Winemakers set new standards for the industry. We’re also further developing our relationships with growers, suppliers, bartenders, and sommeliers, who all play an important role in our future success

Our grapes come from nature and take their unique varietal character from the land where they were grown. It’s this truth that’s at the heart of our commitment to nurturing our terroir and its biodiversity. We're also focused on addressing the challenges of climate change to safeguard the quality of our vines and wines for generations to come.

Our programs aim to nurture flora and fauna around our vineyards, and we are actively reducing water and CO2 usage across all sites. We’re also ambitious to become world leaders in improving our topsoil quality, watersheds and ecosystems.
